The short shake! An ONLINE drop-in OPEN ART STUDIO
Taking care of others is only part of who you are. You are a vibrant, creative, curious human--remember? Maybe you’ve been giving it all away.
Join your fellow healthcare workers online to wind down, warm up, shake it up, shake it off.

Thursdays 0730-0830
Bring any creative materials to the session that you find interesting (or have lying around) –markers, yarn, a journal, clay, torn paper... I will provide a prompt, but you are also welcome to do your own thing. Work in silence or with music in your ears--whatever helps you be present.
This is not therapy, an art class, or a time to consult about your patients. It is a time to be with yourself--among your peers--to reflect and restore. You deserve time that is just for you (And if that's hard to justify, the time you take for yourself will undoubtedly give you more energy to give back to others.). You do not need ANY art experience to participate and enjoy this group. It is about being present-- not about making something beautiful or making any thing at all. All you need is curiosity to see where you will take yourself.
Why spend time in a quiet creative space?
Slow down
Let go
Dig in
Notice what's happening
Be with others who get how hard you work and are working to care for themselves.
