Your investment in therapy requires a commitment of time, energy, and of course, money. I get it -- it's no small thing. I am honored by your commitment and am genuinely invested in supporting you as you confront changes in your life. The work you do in therapy has the true power to not only shift your own life, but those connected to you--your friends and family, your communities, and even generations to come.
Sessions are 50 minutes in length. As CoVid remains highly contagious, I am following CDC and State protocols in my office, and with shared discretion and flexibility, am offering either in person, virtual sessions, or a combination.
Session rate: 50 minute appointment: $185
90 minute appointment (can be especially helpful for extended art making): $275
Insurance
I am in-network with PacificSource.
I am an out-of-network provider for most other insurers and can provide you with a superbill to submit for your own reimbursement.
If you are planning to use your out-of-network benefits for therapy, buckle in and call your insurance company. Ask them the following questions, so you know your true cost (most of these will not show in your benefits booklet!):
- Do I have to meet a separate deductible before co-insurance will kick in?
- Do you cover tele-health for out-of-network providers?
- What is the actual cost that you will cover for the following types of appointments: initial evaluation (90791), individual session (90837), family session (90847), family session without the client present (90846--this would be the parents of a minor, for example, or the partner of an adult couple)? I charge the same amount per session, but insurance companies pay differently based on who is in the room.
- Is pre-authorization required prior to beginning therapy?
If you do not plan to use insurance at all, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your therapy will cost. Under the law, I will provide you an estimate of the expected charges for our work together. You can ask me for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or at any time during our work together. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
